Purpose Of Music Videos

The purpose of music videos are to promote an artist, also to provide entertainment throughout the world we live in. A music video is a video showing imagery produced for promotional purposes, music videos have different styles of creation, by blending animation and live recording. But another purpose for music videos is for profit. Furthermore, by doing that the music video is more then likely to get shared because there are many styles of music people listen to and like. This also gets the artist more recognition and also gets the artist to send their message across, if they have one.

Around the time i was growing up, Michael Jackson was all over tv with (Billie Jean), (Thriller) & one of my greatest songs (Remember The Time) I didn't know much about him, but my mum liked him and his music so i was surrounded by Michael Jackson, he was the one that actually gave me a heart of determination to start following my dream. First it was dance, then soon after it was me making music... I personally believe Michael is a great artist, and he will always a inspiration to me and other that support him.

Later into my life i was introduced to a different genre of music, rap. This genre seemed to appeal to me a lot, which is also another reason why i started becoming an artist to make music with a message to send across the world. From the past i tried to make a way through with singing as well, especially how Michael Jackson was the one who inspired me to push, go further, and never stop what i'm doing, no matter what... A group called 'Outkast' also inspired me, as it has rap within the content of the song i used as an explain.

But there's a difference between these two videos, and it's the genre that divide both of them. Outkast started their group in 1992, and done all their music within the period i started showing interest to music. Michael Jackson on the otherhand started doing his music in 1964 being forced by his father forming a group called 'The Jackson 5' then that all changed when he went solo in 1971. So he's been doing his thing for a really long time...

Rap started around the 1990's, and even though i wasn't around them times when i started making music that was the talent that stuck to me. It was something that seemed to grow with me up so i began to master it, and continue with this talent. The general thing would be to actually get other people's instrumental and just rap over them... But besides that i saw that music became a big part of my life, as well as the people around me. It wasn't an affect, but it just become something i was interested in, which also lead to me choosing this course.
