A
brief would be written down to make a pitch for an idea in a written
format. By writing your brief it wouldn't be going to somebodies
office, it would be faxing or emailing it, for job application, or
dilemmas or situations that including documentation such as a brief
this would have to be the case as ideas are more written down then
spoken.

Negotiating a brief
Negotiating
a brief would be when you meet up with the client for the deadlines
and plan, agree a draft budget for the work and also possibly a
assessing the risks to the work and communicate these to manage
expectations.
Opportunities created by a brief
Communication,
trust and confidence is one thing that are created by a brief. Other
then that, the other opportunities I see would be also be experience
in the job your doing.
During my time on set in the studio, i have to say i would of personally wanted to actually participate with doing work. Most of the time i could only sit down and stay out the way, the reason i say this is because i could actually see my role was sound it was actually a very crucial role for the show. I was in charge of the sound so, mics for the presenters. Mics for the guests as well, only if they were speaking with the presenter... I could only be there for half of the rehearsal seesion, but when i was there a lot of things were going on making me feel it could be a whole lot better, which is the organisation of people, and who's doing what. We all had to make 2 minutes insert so it would fit in with our short showcase, most of these video inserts where parodies of other musics videos. Others were about fashions...
The magazine show is called 'The Buzz', the rehearsals seemed to not be enough as there were some problems and altercations within batteries dying out. Everyone had to actually work together to get things done, the camera operators had to be listening to people who were in the gallery so everything runs smoothly. To me preparation is the key for everything to of worked, to absolute perfection.
Soap Show : Coronation Street
This show is viewed on ITV1 or ITV2, this show has been shown for over 40 years and is made fictional. I personally believe it's just a copy of Eastenders as it basically shows problems everybody deals with everyday, but seen through families, disappointments, and elderly people. It always comes on ITV1 & ITV2, but when it comes on ITV2 it's repeat as ITV1 is the main channel for when it's shows. Coronation Street comes on every Monday, Wednesday & Friday.
Audience
Coronation street appeals to elder people as it shows situations that they deal with through everyday life, that's why it has such an affect on the elder. Nowadays i don't think the elderly have a point of view that shown as much as Coronation street.
Comedy : The Fresh Prince Of Bel Air
The fresh prince of bel air is a multi camera comedy, that started in 1990 and ended in 1996 but this show was basically about Will Smith who was raised in Philadelphia and got into a fight then his mother sent his to live with his uncle in Bel Air.
For my insert as a group I thought outside
the box by making a location set inside and outside of college (Marble Arch)
and another location chosen by Faisal. The reason for this was to get more
people’s thoughts from college and elsewhere also.Because there was a
time limit set for this insert, we could only ask two questions to these
selected people.
Our theme was about music it was going to
be a blend of other stuff too, but time was a real issue. So me, Fiasal &
Jamal did what we could. Our script was well constructed, as when it came to
recording we had everything ready and prepared to be shot and edited &
finished for 2 minutes exactly.
For the first part of the insert Jamal is
presenting what will be going on within it, then after I’m asking two girls who
are from the college what they thought about the Chris Brown and Drake
situation. After Faisal asked his friends view on artists pushing back their
albums. When that was all said and done, Jamal (The Presenter) ends the insert.
We used a college camera, a Canon DLSR & an extended microphone also
another camera within college as we weren’t able to record on the same day.
Skepta is one artist i listen to, as his music inspires me to write music. As an artist its hard to maintain a certain standard of good music if other people don't produce good things as well. most of the time, i get people's instrumental and rap over it. But right about now Skepta is doing it for me.
Plan B is another artist i listen to, from this track i felt his anger. especially how i don't like the government. I believe even though this video condemn violence, he had his point strongly. Most people nowadays are scared at the response but he sure wasn't.
The purpose of music videos are to promote an artist, also to provide entertainment throughout the world we live in. A music video is a video showing imagery produced for promotional purposes, music videos have different styles of creation, by blending animation and live recording. But another purpose for music videos is for profit. Furthermore, by doing that the music video is more then likely to get shared because there are many styles of music people listen to and like. This also gets the artist more recognition and also gets the artist to send their message across, if they have one.
Around the time i was growing up, Michael Jackson was all over tv with (Billie Jean), (Thriller) & one of my greatest songs (Remember The Time) I didn't know much about him, but my mum liked him and his music so i was surrounded by Michael Jackson, he was the one that actually gave me a heart of determination to start following my dream. First it was dance, then soon after it was me making music... I personally believe Michael is a great artist, and he will always a inspiration to me and other that support him.
Later into my life i was introduced to a different genre of music, rap. This genre seemed to appeal to me a lot, which is also another reason why i started becoming an artist to make music with a message to send across the world. From the past i tried to make a way through with singing as well, especially how Michael Jackson was the one who inspired me to push, go further, and never stop what i'm doing, no matter what... A group called 'Outkast' also inspired me, as it has rap within the content of the song i used as an explain.
But there's a difference between these two videos, and it's the genre that divide both of them. Outkast started their group in 1992, and done all their music within the period i started showing interest to music. Michael Jackson on the otherhand started doing his music in 1964 being forced by his father forming a group called 'The Jackson 5' then that all changed when he went solo in 1971. So he's been doing his thing for a really long time...
Rap started around the 1990's, and even though i wasn't around them times when i started making music that was the talent that stuck to me. It was something that seemed to grow with me up so i began to master it, and continue with this talent. The general thing would be to actually get other people's instrumental and just rap over them... But besides that i saw that music became a big part of my life, as well as the people around me. It wasn't an affect, but it just become something i was interested in, which also lead to me choosing this course.
Hi, my name's Tevin Jordan Vassell. I'm a very creative person, who makes music. Can sing, dance and act. During my time in secondary school i had the opportunity to undergo performance within school. And for 5 years, i did everyone single one. After that, i had another opportunity to sing, rap on the stage. So for my time in school i progressed with my music. Also trying to keep grades up for my performing arts if i become an actor in the future. Now that i'm in college, i'm studying TV & Film. I wanted to study this course so i could get a further understanding about the filming industry. As i'm gonna be within that industry in a matter of time.
