The Gloaming

What is editing?

Editing is a process of selecting different shots, joined together to make a story, which is also known as art storytelling.

What is Elliptical Editing?

Elliptical editing allows us to fill the gaps, and also it allows the story to move on quickly.

Why are long shots used?

Long shots are used to create effects, just like how the elliptical edit does.

What is a non-diagetic sound?

Is the music that isn't playing next to the person, but played so that only the viewer can hear it, giving a suspenseful feeling.

How do we know that she is bending down to pick up the ring?

We know this because the previous shot before shows her looking down, and now she's bent all the way down and making us fill the gaps.
