What are reaction shots?

Reaction shot is a term used in motion picture production referring to a basic unit of film grammar.

What is seamless editing? 

Seamless editing is where you seem to know what you are doing with your editing, but the more and more you get deeply involved with the project you get less aware of what is happening.

What is a jump cut?

A jump cut is a cut in film editing in which two sequential shots of the same subject are taken from camera positions that vary only slightly.

What is a flashback and what does it achieve?

A flashback is something that is used within alot of modern films to show whats happened to that person to get to the point where they are now. Flashbacks take the viewer back, just to keep them, engaged either adding drama, tension or interest to the film.
